A Chair That Reflects Vision and Function
Since 2004, Make Architects has delivered over 1,000 projects globally—completing 44 buildings, securing 94 planning consents, and crafting seven masterplans across three continents. In 2015, they approached us with a specific challenge: to find a chair that wasn’t just functional, but inspiring—something to support creativity in a high-performance environment.
After careful consideration, they chose the HÅG Capisco as their everyday office chair. Ergonomically designed for both traditional and bench-height desks, the Capisco stood out for its unconventional form and active sitting experience—perfectly aligning with Make’s own architectural identity.

Design Continuity and Exemplary Service
Make didn’t stop at the studio desks—they also equipped their model-making areas with HÅG Capisco stools, allowing seamless movement and posture variation while maintaining aesthetic consistency throughout the workspace. The chair’s design and color even complemented Make’s brand, with red upholstery adding a bold visual statement. Founder Ken Shuttleworth praised the experience, stating, “We would absolutely recommend HÅG… Every aspect of the service—from sales and delivery to installation and aftercare—was exemplary.” At Make, design excellence extends from the buildings they create to the furniture they choose to work in.
